How important are testimonials to you when choosing a service or product?

As everyone has noted here, testimonials can be a powerful way to convince others to choose a product or service. However, in today's regulatory environment, one must be careful, especially relating to health claims. Testimonies which imply product cures and disease treatment are frowned upon by regulatory agencies and can get not only the distributor but the company in trouble. At the end of the day, there must be some sound science to back up the testimonials!
In deed, in that field especially! Thanks for adding value!

Testimonials are an extremely powerful way to review a product and/or service to answer the questions that a Friend may have and they could help the Friend to decide to purchase the product and/or service or not.

I do think testimonial can really be an effective means of persuasion as long at they don't come of as fake to the viewer.

Testimonials help humanize your brand by adding tangible confirmation of your selling points. All of the strategies that you’ve come up to sell your product or service need a little support from real-life examples, and testimonials provide that.

Testimonial are super powerful and all my website clients are requesting the social proof.

I definitely agree that it makes a lot of sense to use genuine customer testimonials on your website as the increased consumer trust can help convert more browsers into actual paying customers.

Adding customer testimonials to your site has a range of benefits, including building up a good reputation, peer recommendation and keeping good customer relations.

When people read testimonials they gain confidence in your products and services and are far more likely to buy from you. In fact, one of my clients recently told me her conversion rate from visitors to paying customers almost doubled when she added testimonials to her website!

Think about your own experiences – are you more likely to hire a plumber or a builder when you read their brochure or when a friend recommends them?

Make sure the testimonials are real and if possible provide contact details of the person who supplied you with the testimonial.

When it comes to all businesses (large and small), the success of the business depends heavily on word of mouth. Testimonials are formal forms of expression that support that concept. They are extremely powerful tools when it comes to strengthening your branding. Testimonials strengthen the credibility of you and your business and as you know, people will not do business with you if they don’t trust you and find you to be credible.

They are a great way to see if a person is successful with the product or business but as for making money with it that is up to you to build your own path not give up because you see someone else making it. The expert in everything was once a beginner.
