I haven't used LinkedIn in our company or team marketing but have used Facebook, Twitter and Facebook like most all online marketers have. I've always seen LinkedIn as a place for people to post their accomplishments, education, where they've worked and so much more that's not related to the home business niche. I have nothing against LinkedIn or anyone that uses it, however to me it's almost like an online resume. I haven't posted my profile because I'm not looking for a job and I don't see the benefit of connecting with an Airline Pilot, Doctor, a Walmart employee, or a grass cutting service. I'm an online marketer involved in network marketing and affiliate programs and LinkedIn to me would take time away from the social media sites I've been using and have already found useful and productive.
Of course in defense of anyone that reads this and is using LinkedIn, I think that's great as any and every avenue for your branding or relationship building is goodness and I do applaud you for using their service and wish you the very best there! Sincerely, Whit
