It is always up to a person how often he/she want to blog and what is his/her real intention is, also depending on what they are promoting or teaching.

People blog twice a day, once a day or every other day or week even month. But always one has to remember his/her audience not to lose them waiting to long or not to overwhelm them by piling up the information.

I for myself used to blog twice a day, teaching people about health and nutrition, and that was to much information day to day bases for most of them in this busy life, then I changed it to once a day, but that to was over whelming, finally after more feed back and response from different social media  I start blogging every other day, and that start working  fine for me to prepare with quality content as well as my audience to digest about my  suggestions and Teachings to put it in use till the next blog arrive.

So for me every other day work fine, so one has to find in what way he/she will be more fruitful or helpful to his/her audience the most.

Thanks a million Abe! I have found, like you, that my sweet spot seems to be 3-4 times a week. I get the most response and connection that way.

Whatever you decide you must make that clear to you audience.  Let them know what days you intend to have fresh content and then do it consistently or you will lose them.

It should not really be a question of how often.  You should post a blog ONLY when you have written quality content that appeals to your readers.  Why?  If you are just posting for quantity you will never be successful in what you do.  Your audience will not return to read your posts if the content is not quality content.

In full agreement with that Kris!
Wow! Thank you Kris, I am currently running 2 blogs and your strategy makes perfect sense.

Blogging is a great way to generate new subscribers and followers.

To answer your query, how often is not the criteria, but consistency is the key. If you like to post once a week do so, but post every week. Whether it is once a month, weekly or every other day, maintain your schedule. Don't lag on this. Lagging on your posts is a sure fire way to lose your followers.

Other Tips:

Quality is the content. Give valuable information that is relevant to your followers.

Hope this is helpful.

To your success

I believe that consistent blogging is what will keep your followers reading and visiting your blog. Early on I used to blog weekly but eventually this became a burden and I reduced it to once a month. This works for me. It also may depend on what type of blog you have.  Perhaps you will need to experiment to find the perfect schedule for yourself. Happy Blogging!

Hi Todd,

This is question, which dogs every one.Good that you have raised this topic. Thank you for that.

If it is a personal blog and only related to news and updates from around the world, you can post once a day.

If your blog is mainly for affiliate marketing, once a week should suffice. More than that you will run out of quality topics.

What ever the frequency may be, be consistent. Not that you write a post today and then come back after a month or two and then after week. Inconsistency will kill the blog.

Happy Holidays.

Publishing daily is the path to rapid growth.  Case closed.

It’s hard as hell to pull off if you are a single-author publisher.  It requires organization, discipline, resourcefulness, and creativity.  But, I’m sure someone wise told you that the reward comes after hard and smart work.

The problem is that creating content is a means to an end.  It requires work.  Some days the words flow like milk over rice crispies.  Other days, every word is as harder to find than an single cricket on a summer’s night.  But…the prize, more readers, money, authority, goes to those who create when they don’t feel like it.  Winners find something worthwhile to say.  It’s just how the game is played.
