Free vs. Paid Advertising...what has worked best for you and why do you think it has, at any particular given time?

A combination of free & paid advertising should be reasonable. However, for a new site, free promotion has to be a priority. When your site produces enough budget, you can choose paid advertising selectively.

Definitely free and paid. Either way, the most important thing is to communicate after you receive the responses. Don't just send a dry autoresponder. Autoresponders are great but they should only be part of the equation.

Paid traffic can deliver faster results and you can scale paid marketing once you find what works. Free methods take no money of course, but it costs you your time.

I've used PPC and Solo Ads and other paid methods. What works for one person (and one offer), may not work for the next. This why if you use paid marketing, you NEED a marketing budget and a williness to lose money as you test and track what works. If you don't have money to test or if you don't like risk, then paid marketing may not be the best thing for you.
