What has worked best for you in collecting leads. A hard sell splash page or a soft sell form embedded in a web page?

I'd personally be much more interested, to be honest, in why you think the two are different? If you could further explain, I would be happy to lend you my opinion on Splash Pages. :)

Hi Budfields, I understand the "forms" might be the same, however I'm talking about a comparison of results between a hyped "in your face, hard sell, fill it out to see the video or get the free report" splash page. Or a form surrounded by content about the product or service with a recommendation to sign up for more information, view the video or get the free report soft sell.

While splashpage will works best for me, the image present on the splashpage must give a summary of your offer that is enticing enough to cause one to want to subscribe to your list. Always try to be creative and unique (with the key word being unique) in your approach and this will become your most effective method to build your list.

The best for me is splash page...Both Apple and Zune use a hybrid of a splash page with basic navigation functions.
