I wanted to add that no matter what type of career we end up doing, most of the knowledge is learned "on-the-job". I don't think anyone is fully prepared when they start a new occupation. You can get training in school or you can take tests to get certifications but the best thing you can learn is how to get along with your co-workers and be a team player. You will find that this is going to be the defining moment for future promotions and increase in salary. If your boss can see that you are willing to take the initiative while at the same time seeking ways to be a problem solver in the company.
