Hello,  I prefer Real books.  I grew up before the Internet and I don't believe digital media can ever replace a Real Book.  I love everything about Books the smell, the pages, the print.  Digital media is good for what you need right here, right now.  Although, I have read some ebooks that have that Book feel.    But a Book is like an older person with so much original knowledge that you can't find anywhere on the Planet.  When they leave this Earth they take it with them.  I love Books  you can touch, feel, carry around with you, and sit in a corner and just read it.  And I hate to come to the end of a good book, you just want to savor it.

RRobinson, you're so right. There's just something about a real book that the digital can't compare to. I've downloaded and printed out many books over the years, but there's just something about holding a real book. No words can really explain it.

What a wonderful question. Our family loved books and reading together when my children were young. We would find a family book, and find a place to snuggle and read. Sometimes that place was children and myself all smashed together on the chase lounge, or outside on the hammock, sometimes we went out to the trampoline out in the woods, but we loved that family reading time together. I can still see the looks on their faces when certain things were read. Sometimes giggles and laughter lasted for hours after our reading time. I really miss those days.

Sure, you can download an ebook, print it out and then read it. There's just something about a real book that can't be compared to. For instance, old books have their own smell and charm about them. Some old books even have secret printing on them. My daughter is the avid reader in the family and has always loved the 'smell' of old books. Many times I'd go make sure the kids were sleeping alright only to find her sitting in the dark with flashlight trying to read.

Yes, our family preferred reading the 'real' books and most likely always will.

Here's one more reason to love 'real' books   secret printing...  :-)   You're welcome.

Real books because if it teaching me something I like to highlight.  However, if it is a really special book you could get both so you can also listen in the car.heart

‚ÄčI will take a real book every time! there are studies about the ink on paper vs. digital screen and how the brain interacts with each and it is quite illuminating! I also like the smell of a real book! Plus, have you ever been able to swat a fly with a digital version? LOL =P
