What a wonderful question. Our family loved books and reading together when my children were young. We would find a family book, and find a place to snuggle and read. Sometimes that place was children and myself all smashed together on the chase lounge, or outside on the hammock, sometimes we went out to the trampoline out in the woods, but we loved that family reading time together. I can still see the looks on their faces when certain things were read. Sometimes giggles and laughter lasted for hours after our reading time. I really miss those days.
Sure, you can download an ebook, print it out and then read it. There's just something about a real book that can't be compared to. For instance, old books have their own smell and charm about them. Some old books even have secret printing on them. My daughter is the avid reader in the family and has always loved the 'smell' of old books. Many times I'd go make sure the kids were sleeping alright only to find her sitting in the dark with flashlight trying to read.
Yes, our family preferred reading the 'real' books and most likely always will.
Here's one more reason to love 'real' books secret printing... :-) You're welcome.
