Do you think posting a question here where you also give your own answer is what IBOANSWERS is all about?

What I am seeing on this platform is questions being asked as a set up for the questioner to answer their own question with a pitch to their business opportunity. Is that where you really want this to go?

Just curious...

No not at all, that anyone doing what you discribe is guilty of Bad practice

I know posting questions and then answering them is common on Yahoo answers, but didn't know it was a problem here, not sure there is any way to stop this bad practice

We have 2 available functions that might be of help: "dislike" and "flag" ... let's use them and hope that the abusers will learn the "We may not always get what we want, but surely we will get what we deserve." (Doug Horton) lesson sooner or later. :-/
Awesome! Thanks Rob!
I am not sure it 'is a problem here', I just think posing a question as a set up pitch for your own business is swarthy imho. Posting an answer that you have found during your search is another situation all together.
Just was wondering how others felt about it. Thanks gray!
I think it is in bad taste.. why bother to ask a question when you have the answer?

I for one think such practice is "spaming", a way of abusing the system, but let's not forget that

"A wise man can learn more from a foolish question than a fool can learn from a wise answer."

Good question. I only joined a few days ago and it totally confused me because there are quite a few questions being answered by the owners in order to promote their own products and services. I actually thought this was the norm, and that I'd got it wrong. From now on they're all getting a dislike from me.

Obviously not, but I don't think it works anyway. People are not stupid and who would want to work with someone who resorted to such practices?
